1. No pain means no gain.
You have to remember that working out has to give you a satisfying experience of fat burning. You do not actually have to push yourself too hard and experience serious muscle soreness. Do not go beyond your limits especially when you are only starting in your workout routine. You may have to take things slowly yet surely. You also have to be very careful about the workout plans that you should choose. You may hire a fitness trainer that shall guide and motivate you all the way.

2. Workout at the gym is better than working out at home.
It is true that there are facilities in the gym that you may use but if you are not the type to go social, you can just do the workout at home. You can get rid of your stomach fat at home as long as you have the right motivations. If you do not feel inspired to get in the gym or you simply do not have the time, you do not have to. Just stay at home and enjoy yourself.

3. You have to drink a sports drink before, during and after the exercise.
Sports drinks contain calories so if you are planning to lose weight, such liquid might get in the way. Not all activities require you to drink sports drink. You can have plain water when walking, biking, etc. On the other hand, if you are planning to do high intensity workouts, you may have sports drinks that can replenish your fluids. Remember that you can reduce fat fast by drinking a lot of water.

4. Stretching prevents the occurrences of injuries.
Warm ups and stretching are two different things. Studies show that stretching will not help in the prevention of injuries but warming up does.
